The CIMB Asia Pacific Classic is a fledgling event compared to others in the region, however, what it lacks in years, it makes up for in the caliber of players that it draws in from the PGA Tour as well as from the Asian Tour. It is the first of its kind to link the US PGA Professionals with a tournament here on local soil, with its inaugural event held at the MINES Resort & Golf Club in 2010.

Crest Link has been involved in the sponsorship and was appointed the Official Apparel and Event Merchandise for this event since the beginning.
